I am an AKC Breeder of Merit, having bred and exhibited first Boston Terriers, then added French Bulldogs to our repertoire a year later, for 47 years. We moved to Tx in '83 and I met Dr. Clader when he was working with Dr. Skelton in Pleasanton. I was impressed with his work ethic and medical knowledge, so when he established his own clinic, Chaparral Veterinary Center in Jourdanton, I was very happy to continue our association! He told me once that I "forced him to become a neonatologist" (due to our breeding, and since most French Bulldogs in this country require c-sections to deliver their litters, gaging the timing of a section is an art more than a science. Also Frenchie neonates are exceptionally fragile.).

The Veterinary Staff and assistants go out of their way to make you feel like you matter. As hard as it is losing an animal, it is good to know they care enough to get to the "why."

As someone who shares a household with multiple aging rescue dogs, I am in need of quality veterinarians. I have had interactions with every veterinarian at Chaparral and can say that they are all top notch professionals who care about the quality of life of my furry family members. I appreciate that they listen to my concerns, help me find the best treatment options, and make sure all of my questions are answered. I also appreciate the compassion they have shown me at the most difficult times. The staff are wonderful too. The techs always take great care of my babies, and the admin make me feel at ease as soon as I walk in the door. Thank you, Chaparral!

The Vets are wonderful and very kind. They all take exceptional care of my pets. My only downfall is their pricing.

Everyone here is nice. Reasonable prices. I have also used this place to board my two dogs.

The work ethic here is second to NONE! ALL of the vets here are FANTASTIC, and I trust them with the LIVES of my children (the furred ones!). I've told ALL of my breeder friends about them and many of them travel well over 100 miles to take advantage of the BEST VETERINARY CARE AVAILABLE.
